6/10/15. Remains of railroad across the Brodhead Creek

My friend, Seth took me down this trail from Glenn Park in Stroudsburg, PA. The railroad was once here and ran across the creek into Minisink Hills. I never knew about this place. "JC 99" means Jersey City 99 miles. There's a marker exactly like this in Minisink Hills that says "JC 98" and I posted a photo of it last year. All of these photos contain things related to the railroad that once ran through here. I even saw a few pieces of coal.

Remnants of a bridge crossing the Brodhead Creek

The bridge was washed out in the Flood of 1955 and never rebuilt. It crossed the Brodhead Creek from Post Office Road to Paper Mill Lane. The bridge was about 100 years old and from what I have been told, it was the first bridge of the original Seven Bridges Road. The second bridge of Seven Bridges Road is the still-existing bridge near the Minisink Hotel. Tinkertown Crossing was nearby and crossed the railroad tracks somewher on Paper Mill Lane. I searched for signs of it but could not locate any.
