Diane Cellini used to vacation with her family at Schmitt's in the 1970's through the early 1980's. In the early years of the mid-1980's Diane cleaned rooms and lived there for awhile. Pictured below are some of the cleaning staff in their rooms which were in the rec hall which suffered from a fire in 1996 and was replaced with a much larger building in 1997. The other photos were taken around Schmitt's in the early 1980's. I am so happy and thankful that Diane has so many memories and photos to share!
My family held an annual family reunion at Schmitt every June from 1981-1988. We rented the whole resort for a weekend each year (I have 35 cousins). We had so much fun. We always had dancing on Saturday night in the rec hall, usually with a square dance caller. Lots of great memories.
